Edith was the daughter of Daniel L. Dilts and Laura M. Opdyke of Neshanic, Hillsborough Twp., Somerset Co., NJ. She married Arthur B. Pierson on 24 Aug. 1912.

Note: Edith's birth certificate and the 1900 Census show that she was born in September 1895. Her gravestone erroneously gives her birth year as 1896.
