James Brooks, Textile Employee 72, died Jan. 5. 1990, at the Chester County Hospital. Funeral is today at Barron Funeral Home with the Rev. John Bauknight officiating. Burial will be in Chester Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Brooks was born in Greenville County, the son of the late James Robert and Elizabeth Chastain Brooks. He was a retired Springs Industries employee and a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Ann Keatts Brooks; sons, James Gerald Brooks of Baltimore, Jerry Lee Brooks of Fort Mill; sisters, Mrs. Nell Lathen and Mrs. Bertha Tollison, both of North Augusta, S.C., Mrs. Helen Coleman of Ware Shoals; one grandchild.
