Leuvina Frances (EMERY) COLLINS, daughter of Ambrose and Annie EMERY, was born in Jackson Township near the Old Clifty church, December 28, 1855, and departed this life March 20,1929. Age seventy-three years, two months and twenty-five days.

She was united in marriage to Hezekiah COLLINS, June 10, 1874. To this union was born three children, two boys and one girl, all of whom are married namely: Ada MOFFETT, of Cincinnati; Wady Forest COLLINS, of Tanner, and William Judson COLLINS, of Salem, Indiana.

In early childhood she united with the Christian church at Taylor Ridge, of which faith she held in sacred memory until death. She lived practically all her married life in Tanner where she died. She had been in declining health for several years and since July1928 had been under the constant care of a physician. She was patient through her illness and always rewarding the ones who cared for her with words of kindness and appreciation. Aunt Vine, as she was usually called had many friends, was a kind mother, a devoted companion and a good neighbor. She kept in close touch of current events and the social life in and around the community in which she lived. She was devoted to her home and family, always thinking of her children and striving to assist them and her husband to make a comfortable home and honest living. She looketh well to her household and eateth not the bread of idleness.

The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh and we have a hope that she rests beyond this vale of tears in the arms of our Savior who said "Come unto me all ye who are heavy laden and I will give you rest." Where there is no sickness, pain, death or sorrow.

Mother we miss you from our home, your precious voice is stilled. The chair is vacant that never can be filled.

Her father and mother and three sisters preceded her in death many years ago. Besides the immediate family mentioned above she leaves one sister, Mrs. Catherine DAGLEY, of Cincinnati, Indiana, a host of relatives and friends to mourn her departure.

The funeral services were conducted at the home Thursday at 10 o'clock by the Rev. BALIFF and her body was laid to rest in the Carmichael Cemetery.
