Carl DeShields "Chief" Andrson, 81 of Heathsville, died Tuesday, June 3, 2003. He was a member of Mila United Methodist Church, Mila, and a member of Lancaster Union Lodge #88 AF &AM of Kilmarnock. Mr. Anderson was a retired employee of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Div. and a menhaden fishing chief engineer.
Surviving are his wife, Eloise H. Anderson; three step-children, Jim Conley and wife Beth of Wicomico Church, Lee Conley, Betty Bryant and husband Preston, all of Heathsville; step-grandchildren, James and Beth Ann Conley, Brian and Ashley O'Bier, Crystal Aries, Chad and Holly Cleyenger, Roger and April Manalac and Cindy Kelly; eight ste- great grandchildren; a brother, Donald Anderson of Lewes, Delaware; a sister Catherine Smith of North Carolina.
Funeral services June 5 at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock, interment in Mila Cemetery, Mila.
