Tillison Reed was the son of Supply and Susannah
Byam Reed. Tillison married Delia Deliverance Byam and 11 children was born to them, while they were living in Acworth, New Hampshire. The children were: Timothy Sumner, Nahum Benjamin, Sally, James, Fidelia, Calvin, William Crawford, Sally Ann, Samuel Jones, James Byam, and Mary Sophia. Tillison died Aug. 31, 1836. There were an estimated 200 Mormons died near Far West in their 1830's stay. I am not positive that Tillison was killed by the mob that was killing
LDS members but old family stories told that he was shot by a mob of people trying to rid the LDS members of their community. After his death Delia married Nahum Curtis in Warsaw Oct. 29, 1839. Nahum died 1846 and is buried Old Nauvoo Burial Grounds, Hancock Co., Illinois. Delia went to Utah with sons of Nahum Curtis in the Willard Richards Co. They departed Navuoo, Illinois July 3, 1848 and arrived Oct. 19, 1848. Delia lived the rest of her life in Utah being a great mother to the Curtis children and her children. Most of the children lived their lives in Utah and were members of the Mormon church. Delia is buried in the Logan City Cemetery, Logan, Cache Co., Utah.
