Lina M. Burns (1886-1967) Lina was the youngest child of Margaret M. (1844/8-1938) and Cornelius Burns (1846-1913). Her parents, and at least two of their eldest children, emigrated from Ireland in the early 1870s. Lina was raised in Sandy Hill/Hudson Falls, NY with her four older sisters, and four older brothers. According the various census records and city directories, Lina continued to live at 28 Lincoln St. in Hudson Falls, NY with her mother, brother Thomas, and sister Susan, after the death of her father in 1913. Lina and Susan never married. In those same records, Lina is listed as a stenographer, bookkeeper and secretary. In 1920 she was working in an office in one of the paper mills, but by 1930 she was working at a local bank. Lina died, 15 May, 1967 two days shy of her 81st birthday. She is buried in the family plot at St. Mary's and St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fort Edward, Washington County, NY.
