Dorothy H. Bellaver of La Crosse died Monday, Jan. 1, 1990. She was born Feb. 19, 1904, in La Crosse to Anton and Mathilda Laures) Smith. She graduated from Grandview School of Nursing, La Crosse, and worked at Kenosha Memorial Hospital for 47 years. She was an industrial nurse at American Brass, Kenosha, and after her retirement as director of nurses at Shady Lawn East, a nursing home in Kenosha.

She was a member of Grandview Alumni Association. She was a member of Wisconsin District of Nurses for many years, and a member of the Red Cross. She was a member of WWTC Homemakers and auxiliary member of Fraternal Order of Eagles and member of Riverfront, Inc.

Survivors are a son, Thomas Bellaver of Milwaukee, two daughters, Rosemary Schneider of Onalaska and Kathleen Bellaver of La Crosse, two sisters, Geneieve Fuchs and Marie Newberry, both of La Crosse, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 10:45 a.m. in Dickinson Funeral Homes Jackson Street Chapel, and 11 a.m. in Holy Trinity Catholic Church. The Rev. Lawrence Berger will officiate. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 p.m., with a Scripture service at 7:30.
