Married Harold Edward Aste, 9 Sep 1950, Pleasant View, Weber, Utah
Maxine Green was born 29 March 1920, in Layton, Utah to Reuben and Mabel Green. She was the only daughter to come into this family of three boys. Mabel finally had a girl. Maxine had 3 older living brothers. And they were farm boys.
Mabel loved having a little girl. Maxine was always such a good daughter. She was always very loving and caring to her parents.
As an aunt, she was my most favorite. She was so loving and always wanted her hug. When as a family we would come to visit our grandparents in Utah, she would always come to the farm and see us… without fail. She would always make us something special….and to me it was her wonderful “Date Pin Wheel” cookies. I still have a copy of that recipe on the original paper that is approx. 45 yrs old. She was such fun to be around.
Maxine married Harold Aste on 28 May 1952, in the Mesa, Arizona Temple. Harold loved his motorcycle and would take Maxine on rides to see the country.
Maxine and Harold were not able to have kids of their own and they adopted a son named Kay Dean. Maxine and Harold moved to Phoenix, Arizona where Harold sold the first “x-ray” ovens (now called micro ovens). They lived in Bountiful for many many years until her death.
Aunt Maxine’s health was a struggle for her. It was very depilating. She died 11 June 1982 in Bountiful, Utah. She is buried near her parents in the Kaysville Cemetery, Kaysville, Utah.
