Beatrice Helen Herron, 92, of Connersville, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014, at Arbor Trace of Richmond, Indiana.
One of seven children, she was born June 22, 1921 in Rushville, Indiana, the daughter of Cecil and Lilly Hokey Catlin. She attended Rush County schools.
On July 3, 1940, she was married to Gladstone L. Herron of Rush County; Mr. Herron died May 22, 1993.
For many years, she was employed at Plaza Lanes of Connersville. A loving and dedicated homemaker, she and her beloved husband spent the majority of their married lives in Connersville; they were active in the Methodist Church.
She is survived by five children, Don B. Herron and his wife Linda S. and Katha J. Allen and her husband Fred I., both of Connersville, Brenda Fewell and her husband Dennis of Scottsburg, Indiana, Patricia Schmalfeldt and her husband Jeffrey of Four Oaks, North Carolina and Dianna Herron Rudd of Liberty, Indiana, twelve grandchildren, a number of great- and great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gladstone, her parents, a brother, Gilbert Catlin, and five sisters, Edith Scholl, Betty Kuhns, Rene Fultz, Hazel Catlin and Ruth Reed.
Funeral Services will be conducted 2 PM Monday, February 3, 2014, at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home with Rev. Jeffrey B. Herron, grandson of Mrs. Herron, officiating; burial will be in Dale Cemetery.
