The Cadiz Record obit posted 01 Jun 1994 reads as follows:

Funeral services or Virginia Mae Lane Stone, 70, of Eddyville and formerly of Cadiz, were conducted on Saturday, May 28, 1994, at Goodwin Funeral Home.

The Rev. Gates Bowman officiated the services. Burial followed in the East End Cemetery in Cadiz.

Mrs. Stone died on May 26 at Trigg County Hospital, following a short illness.

Mrs. Stone retired after 32 years at Elk Brand Manufacturing as a sewing machine operator. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Eddyville.

She was born June 11, 1923, in Dawson Springs, daughter of the late Kelly J Lane an Hattie Mae Hobby Lane.

Survivors include one son, Doug "Butch" Stone, Jr. of Lyon County; one brother, Carrlton Lane of North Carolina; one half brother, Hyland Lane of Princeton; one half sister, Linda Kay Brown of Princeton; three grandchildren, Mike Stone and Allis Stone, both of Lyon County, and Heath Stone of London; and two great grandchildren, Whitney Stone of Lyon County and Hannah Stone of London.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Raby Douglas Stone, Sr., who died on May 4, 1988; one brother, J P Lane; and one sister, Ruth Evelyn Davis.

Pallbearers were Lowell Hobby, Cal Lane, Mike Stone, Heath Stone, Gary Patterson, and Sam Hinson.

Music was provided by Mae Perdue, organist.
