CADIZ, Ky. — Cecil Earl Smith, 77, Paducah, formerly of Trigg County, died at 10:10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002, at Superior Care Home, Paducah, of natural causes.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Goodwin Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Kelly officiating. Burial will be in East End Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 this afternoon.
A native of Trigg County, he was born Oct. 27, 1924, the son of the late W.R. and Fanny Colson Smith. He was retired from the Paducah Housing Authority and was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Estelle Smith; a son, Billy Smith, Paducah; a daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Edna) Swift, Decatur, Ill., four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
