Ella Kathryn Allbritton, 68, of Washington, Ill., died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, at Snyder Village in Metamora, Ill.


Born on Jan. 29, 1945, in Jasper, Ala., to Charles C. and Josephine Gaddy Wright, she married Joseph C. Allbritton on April 19, 1964, in Creve Coeur, Ill. He preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 1998.


Surviving are two sons, Jeff M. Allbritton and Daniel C. (Laurie) Allbritton, both of East Peoria; her mother, Josephine Wright of Mobile, Ala.; one sister, Charlene (David) Brodt of Washington, Ill.; and one brother, Cecil J. Wright of Mobile, Ala.


She was preceded in death by her father.


Beginning as an LPN, Ella worked to become a nursing home administrator, where she worked in various nursing homes in the Peoria area.


She was an active member and past secretary of the Better Breathers Club and was a faithful member of Beverly Manor Baptist Church as long as her health allowed her to go.


She also was an avid gardener, known for her beautiful flower gardens.


Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
