James "Jim" Ernest Rumley, 93, died Monday, Nov. 16, 1998, at Evergreens Nursing Center.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, 1998, in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

A native of Guilford County, Mr. Rumley was of the Baptist faith. He retired from Benner and Fields, Incorporated and was a member of the Plumbers and Steamers Local Union 421.

Mr. Rumley is survived by three sons, Jack and wife, Dorothy Rumley of Greensboro, Lee Roy and wife, Gaynell Rumley of Greensboro, Buck and wife, Brenda Rumley of McLeansville; one daughter, Peggy and husband, T.D. Leonard of Greensboro; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Rumley; son, Jimmy Rumley and grandson, Steven Rumley.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at Forbis & Dick Funeral Home, N. Elm Street.
