Darla Baxter Derden, 51, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, after a very short battle against a sudden illness. Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Greenwood. After spending 51 years as a generous, kind and loving woman devoted to sharing happiness with as many people as possible, she now joins her father, R.G. Baxter; mother, Christine; and baby, Rebecca; in the only place heavenly enough to house them together at once. She will always be remembered as a wonderful mother and fiercely loyal friend who embraced every person equally. Survivors: Son, Michael Case; brother, Jay Baxter; daughter, Dana Fenner; grandchildren, Mykayla, Trenton and Lukas Fenner; mother, Wanda Derden; as well as her husband, the love of her life, Dan Derden.
