Services Held for Pfc. Tommie Hames.. Body of Pfc. Tommie Hames, who was killed in the Invasion of eastern France, March 18, 1945, arrived in Danville Tuesday morning, December 7, and funeral services were conducted at the Macedonia Church at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon by Bro. Landers of Little Rock. Military honors were by the Danville American Legion Post and his body was laid to rest in die Macedonia Cemetery.

Private Hames was born October 28, 1909, near Danville where he spent his entire life before entering the army, May 22, 1944. He received his training at Camp Robinson and was sent overseas November12, 1944.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Vina Hames; two daughters, Wanda Lou and Jimmie Nell of Macedonia; his mother, Mrs. Eura Hames of Danville; two sisters, Mrs. Eulene Lowery of Dumas and Mrs. Nevil Adair of Blytheville; three brothers, Harold of Dumas, Rupard and Claude of Stockton, California.
