"Died.
In this city, on Wednesday the 22d inst., the day commencing his 24th year, of the prevailing epidemic, Mr. George W. Parsons, (of the firm of J. H. Bransford & Co., of this place,) for nearly two years past a resident of New Orleans, and for the four previous a citizen of Vicksburg.
He was a young man, universally beloved by acquaintances, for the many ennobling qualities which he possessed, a number rarely concentrated in the breast of any one mortal.
"None knew him but to love him,
Nor spoke of him but to praise."
His remains were followed to their final resting place, (the Firemen's Cemetery,) yesterday morning, by many friends, who knew him to appreciate his worth while living, and now deplore the loss, they, and his absent friends and relatives have sustained by his death."
