Albert was placed under the guardianship of his two elder brothers: John Martin and James Franklin Miller in 1871. He was married to Victoria Allie Swansey, daughter of Richard and Elizabeth Swansey (Swancy). Albert and Victoria had the following children: Eunice Richard {Find A Grave Memorial # 112084813} and Hessie C. (Miller) Nickles {Find A Grave Memorial # 1120500380}. They were living at Cokesbury, Abbeville County during the 1880 Census. Albert died on 3 Dec.1883. His wife, Victoria was remarried to Benton Robertson by 1900. She died on 4 Jan.1952 at Spartanburg, SC, aged, 93y 16d (per death certificate), and was buried in Hodges Cemetery, Hodges, Greenwood County, SC
