Margaret loved to crochet and quilt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Herbert E. Alcorn; sons and stepson, George Ashe, Virgil Ashe, and Robert Alcorn. Margaret is survived by her children Calvin E. Ashe, Jr. (Alita Ashe) of Roanoke and Norma Rye of Blue Ridge; step children Jerry Alcorn and Virginia Koger both of Bedford, and Ramona (Bobby) Wimmer of Wirtz; many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and special friends.
The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home, 1001 Franklin Road, Roanoke 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday. A graveside service honoring Margaret's life will follow immediately at Sherwood Memorial Park, 1250 East Main Street, Salem with Reverend Adam McDaniel officiating.
