Thomas D. Ahern, husband of Annie (Egan) Ahern passed away in December of 1890 and is buried on the family homestead near Castle Town, Montana. He is survived by his widow, Annie, three sons James, Thomas and John Ahern, and two daughters, Catherine and Clare Ahern. He and Annie were married in Livingston, Montana on January 24, 1884. They were the first couple married in the Catholic church in Livingston with Fr. Barslow officiating. Mr Ahern was a carriage maker by trade as well as a rancher in Meagher County. He and Annie were present when the Golden Spike was driven in the railroad by President Grant near Drummond, Montana.
