Iva Jean Steinmetz, 87, of Medford, Ore. passed Sunday, March 31, 2013 at her home. She was born August 7, 1925 in La Union, N.M. to John Erman Cox and Mary Ethel Johnson.
She was married to Samuel Howard Miller for only a few months before he was killed in WWII. She later married Donald Houghan Steinmetz who preceded her in 1985.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen Miller of Medford, Ore.; two sons, Stephen Douglas Steinmetz of Grants Pass, Ore. and Terry Allen Steinmetz of Nampa, Idaho; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints, 3456 Bellinger Lane, Medford, Ore., with viewing from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
