Fred D. "Fritz" Beiermann was born June 17, 1929 in Lindsay, NE to Louis and Elizabeth (Kurtenbach) Beiermann. He received his education at Lindsay Holy Family schools. In 1946 he entered the US Army and served during the Japanese Occupation in World War II. Following his time in the service, Fritz attended the Nebraska School of Barbering in Omaha. After graduation, he came to Columbus to work at the Thurston Barber Shop in 1951. Fritz barbered in Columbus all of his life eventually opening Fritz's Barber Shop. He was an avid golfer, card player, and enjoyed his grandsons baseball games. He was a member of St. Bonaventure Church, American Legion, VFW, FOE 1834, and the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by:

Son Larry (Cathi) Beiermann of Columbus
Grandchildren: Amy (Jon) Gillen, Carrie (Tom) Theis, Beth (Matt) Henderson, Shawn (LeeAnn) Ryba, Jon (Dana) Beiermann, and Christopher Beiermann
Great Grandchildren: Connor and Davis Gillen, Emily and Walter Theis, Grant and Noah Henderson, and Liam Beiermann
