Andrew James Blancet, 21, of Lexington, passed over Saturday, January 25, 2014 at St. Joseph Hospital. Born June 5, 1992 in Virginia Beach, VA., he was a graduate of Lafayette High School with an award of Academic Excellence and Exemplary Efforts of English, a member of the Lafayette Generals Varsity Football team (#53), attended B.C.T.C. and South Elkhorn Baptist Church. Survivors include his father, James Lee Blancet of Lexington; mother, Mary Martin Blancet of Lexington; one brother, Matthew James Blancet; Paternal grandmother, Frances Lowe Marion and loving family. He is preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents, Patricia Ann and Hugh Patrick Martin and Paternal grandfathers, William Doug Marion and James Wilson Blancet, Jr. Services will be at 10:30 am Wednesday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Harrodsburg Rd. Burial will be at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 5 – 8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
