Obituary from the Shreveport Times newspaper, June 26, 1985, Wednesday, p. 14-A:

SHREVEPORT – Services for Mr. L.R. "Bob" Anderson, 64, of Shreveport, will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 26 at Rose-Neath's Marshall Street Chapel. Dr. George Pearce, associate pastor of Broadmoor Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be at Forest Park Cemetery.

Mr. Anderson, president and general manager of Schorr Furniture Co., died Monday June 24, 1985, at his residence after a sudden illness. He was born in Rock Island, Illinois and had been a resident of Shreveport for the past 27 years. Mr. Anderson was a member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church. He was a former vice commander of the American Legion and a member of the 40 & 8 Club, the Elks Lodge No. 122 and the advisory board of the American Bank & Trust. He was preceded in death by one son, George T. Anderson and one sister, Dr. Irene Nelson.

He is survived by three sons, L.R. Anderson, Jr. and John C. Anderson, of Baton Rouge, La., and Ronald D. Anderson of Homer, La.; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Broadmoor United Methodist Church building fund.
