Ruby M. Baxa, daughter of Oscar and Hannah Gustovson Anderson, was born on a farm northeast of Agenda, on May 13, 1910, and died at the Belleville Health Care Center in Belleville on September 1, 1986, at the age of 76 years, three months and 18 days.
She received her elementary education at the Dillehay Rural School.
She was united in marriage to Elmer R. Baxa on January 27, 1927, and to this union two sons were born. The couple was engaged in farming and lived on a farm near Haddam, for 15 years, moving to a farm near Cuba in 1943, and later to Belleville Health Care center due to her ill health.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Cuba, and the Presbyterian Guild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, Connie; one sister, Ester Sauvain; five brothers, August, Henry, Albert, Ernest and Edward.
She is survived by her husband; two sons William R. Baxa and Donald D. Baxa; four grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Alice Jarret of Agenda; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday Sept 4, 1986 at the Presbyterian church in Cuba, conducted by Rev. Tom Ballard. Interment was in National Bohemian (Kopsa) Cemetery.
