At the age of 73, Joseph R. "Dick" Wellek, of Loyalhanna, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2001, in Riverside Nursing Center in McKeesport.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret C. Gallagher Wellek, on Jan. 11, 2001; two brothers, Hugh and Donald.
He was survived by two children, Richard J. Wellek and his wife, Helen, of Greensburg and Jo Ann Pratt and her husband, Mark, of White Oak; four grandchildren; a brother, William, and a sister, Roma Hamerski, both of Latrobe; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Andrew R. (Mary Ann) Phillips of New Alexandria, and Shirley Gallagher and Cathy Gallagher, both of Latrobe; a brother-in-law, William Gallagher of Latrobe and several nieces and nephews.
Interment in Unity Cemetery, Unity Township.
