Lydia was born to John and Eliza (Ford) Hawkins. She married Joseph Deloss Greer on October 23rd, 1851, in Ohio. They were the parents of nine children: Thomas, Eliza, James, Maria, Mary, Clara, Carrie, George, and Bertha. Lydia passed away at her daughter's house after being ill with pneumonia.
