Services for Augusta Nell "Gussie" Maddox, 65, are 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home. The Rev. Curt Bartmess will conduct rites and burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
Mrs. Maddox died Friday in an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born July 8, 1918, in Pleasant Hill, Oklahoma, to Henry and Annie Laura Roper Sarrett and lived in this area all her life.
She was a homemaker and member of the Holiness Church.
She and Manley E.Maddox married in Grayson County, Texas , Jan. 17, 1958. He died Feb. 16, 1973 in Ada.
Survivors include two sons, Clyde and David McGuire, both of Ada; three daughters, Annie Maud Mayo, Oklahoma City, and Wanda Smith and Mary Duncan, both of Ada; one brother, Ellie Sarrett, Oregon; two sisters, Millie Smith, Tupelo, and Dellie Wilkins, Ada; 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
