Betty Ann Airwyke, 71, of Binghamton, passed away January 20, 2014.

She is preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Helen Ely; brother's Arthur and Daniel Ely and sister Ellen O'Neil. She is survived by her husband of 53 years Robert Airwyke; children, Terri and Jay Tompkins, Steven and Penny Airwyke, Sherri Airwyke, Tina Airwyke, JoLene Airwyke, and Jamie Airwyke. She loved all 12 of her grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Also her beloved sisters Violet E. Scott, Margaret L. Ely, Sharon R. Ely. She is also survived by her favorite Aunt Hazel Terry as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

She loved her time playing Bingo, where all her friends knew her as Betty Boop. Her sisters called her their wild child when they grew up and named her Geronimo. She was the world's biggest Elvis fan.

The family would like to thank the staff of Willow Point Nursing Home for all their loving care.

Family and Friends will be received Wednesday from 10am-12pm at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME INC 137 Robinson St. Binghamton, NY. A Memorial Service will be held at 12pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Chenango Valley Cemetery following the service.
