Daughter of Richard Hickam and his first wife whose name is unknown. Her father Richard died on 26 January 1853 in Boone County, Missouri. His estate was probated on 10 February 1853. Heirs were his widow (2nd wife) Catherine Hickam, George M. Hickam, Samuel P. Hickam, Ann Foster, all of Lafayette County; William Hickam, grandsons Abram Hickam and Scott Hickam (sons of Elizabeth Hickam and Alexander Hickam) of Boone County.

Ann Catherine Hickam married on 21 Oct 1847 in Boone County, MO, Wayne Foster, son of David Foster and Ursula Woodford, as his first wife.

From Elizabeth Tilton original memorial maker:
My great grandmother.
"Her grave is in the Old Log Providence Cemetery about six miles south of Columbia. My father, David Foster, relates how well he remembers her burial and the family going back a day or so later to have her grave opened and to place the baby with her." (Lulu Foster Smith)

"Old Log Providence is a black cemetery and as far as I know no whites are buried there. Since she did die at Providence it is likely that she also is buried at Old Union. A lot of persons who lived in the vicinity of Providence are buried at Old Union. Old Log Providence is in the Ashland vicinity." (Ethelda Henry)
