ROGER D. MARTINEZ, 86, Roger D. Martinez of Denver, a retired Gates Rubber Co. employee, died Nov. 2 at home. He was 86. A mass of resurrection was said Nov. 6 at All Saints Catholic Church.
He was born July 10, 1909, in Walsenburg. He was married to Lucy C. Martinez for 64 years. Martinez was employed at Gates for 31 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Parish for 30 years and All Saints Catholic Church. He was active in the Holy Name Society, the Ushers Club, and the Nocturnal Adoration Society.
He is survived by his wife; five daughters, Mary E. Langley, Sister John Vianney S.C.L., Lucy Tafoya, Geri Hatch and Anne-Mary Jo Sievers; a son, Roy R.; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Interment was in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
