Amos V. Roberts, a resident of Eaton Twp., and one of the oldest citizens of the county, was found dead in a field, back of his house, Friday afternoon. That afternoon he had gone out to repair some fence and not coming in to supper, the family started out looking for him and found him lying dead by the side of the fence, with indications which showed life had been extinct several hours. A coroner's inquest held on the body next day rendered a verdict in accordance with the above facts. The deceased leaves a wife and eight small children in fair circumstances.
