Michie M. Brous passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, at the age of 81. Celebration of life: 1 p.m. Monday at Central Christian Church, 3205 Hamilton Ave., Fort Worth. Entombment: Greenwood Mausoleum. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Brown Owens & Brumley Funeral Directors. Michie was born July 20, 1932, in Fort Worth to the late Rev. and Mrs. H.B. Brous. He graduated from R.L. Paschal High School and Texas Christian University after which he served in the U.S. Air Force at Carswell Air Force Base. Michie was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Hugh Brous Jr., Dr. Marion Wilson Brous and John Alton Brous. Survivors: Wife of 60 years, Nancy Brous; sons, Michie Joe Brous and wife, Charlene, Bobby Brous and wife, Mary; daughter, Margaret Ellen Brous; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Ann Puckett; sister-in-law, Mary L. Brous; and many friends.

An accomplished pianist, he shared his talents with others for many years.He was a Mason and member of the York Rite Commandry of Fort Worth. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him, including many, many friends in the Appendant Bodies of the Freemasons.
