Allen Hellesund was born to Andrew and Julia (Westley) Hellesund on Nov 8, 1919 on the family homestead south of TL. He was in WW II as a part of the allied invasion of North Africa, then in Europe in Aug of 1942 to V-J Day.

He married Regina Holzer on March 31, 1948. He worked at West River Oil and bought into the partnership in 1950. In 1970 he became sole owner of the Texico Service Station. In June of 1976, he sold this and became caretaker of Little Moreau Rec Area. He was the official weather observer for TL for over 50 years.

Siblings: Lesa, Alvin, Elmer.

Allen and Regina has a daughter Donna and Grandson Eric Hurley.
