Teasdale, Utah - On Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. we lost our beloved mother, Ann Maxfield Heaps. She passed away at the home of her daughter in Herriman, Utah.

Ann was born August 13, 1927, a daughter of, and the youngest of eight children born to Nathan Grant and Delta Okerlund Maxfield, in Lyman, Utah. Her mother taught her to embroider, quilt, cook and become a strong and sufficient woman, traits that she passed on to her children.

Ann was sealed to the love of her life, William Lell Heaps, June 5, 1951 in the Manti LDS Temple for time and all Eternity. Together they raised a family of seven children.

She was a dedicated member of the LDS Church. She supported Lell in his building missions for the Church, served as a Primary President and Young Women's President. She was an amazing mother, unselfish, loving and hard working. She had a wonderful sense of humor. Her children loved making her laugh. Ann's most important role was that of Mother. She took loving care of our Dad in his final years and they were constant companions for 54 years. Lell passed away July 26, 2005.

Mom is survived by her children: Cindy and Al Medina of Chatsworth, California; Beverly and Bryant Davis of High Point, North Carolina; Karen and Paul Cloward of Herriman, Utah; LaWanda Heaps of Riverton, Utah; Bryan Heaps of Mancelona, Michigan; Loralee and Jim Darden of Austin, Texas; 15 grandchildren, who will truly miss her presence; brother and sisters: Ole Maxfield of Salt Lake City; Etta Nelson, LaRee and Clifford Olsen, all of Loa.

She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Lell Heaps; her parents; two brothers, Nathan Doyle Maxfield and Grant LaMar Maxfield; and two sisters, Erma Chappell and LaVee McKinlay.

The family would like to thank Intermountain Hospice, especially Suzie and Bonnie, for the loving care they provided for Mom.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. in the Torrey LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services.
