Leonard Bruce of Clayton, OK passed away January 21, 2014 in a Tulsa area hospital, he was 85 years old. Mr. Bruce was born October 14, 1928 in Nolia, OK, to Wesley and Matilda Bruce. He joined the Army and served his country during the Korean War. He married Jackqueline Winberry, March 28, 1953.
Jackie and Leonard Bruce raised their family in Oklahoma City, OK. After retiring, they returned to Clayton, OK.
Mr. Bruce was the current Commander of the American Legion Post#68 in Clayton, OK. He is preceded by his parents; four brothers: Francis, Otis, Olen and Loyal Bruce; three sisters: Bell Wilson, Rosebud Minyard, and Leona McKaughan. Services will be held January 25, 2014 at 2:00pm in Nashoba, OK at the Nashoba School with Gary Fuller officiating. Pallbearers will be Jeff Bruce, Charlie Bruce, Steven Bruce, Eric Bruce, Chad Becker and Sheldon Weathers. Arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Serves.
