Emma Goodrich Dies in Tacoma
Mrs. Emma Goodrich, age 71, early settler of Staples, died at Tacoma, Wash., august 8. Mrs. Goodrich was born in Osage, Iowa, July 23, 1869, and when a child came to Verndale with her parents, Mr. and Mes. L.S. Card, later moving to Staples where she married James Goodrich.
Five daughters and one son are left. They are Mrs. Maud McGillvary, Staples; Mrs. May Pragno, Mrs. Hazel Meyers, Mrs. Fern Bollis and Mrs. Grace McDaniel, of Tacoma, and a son, Howard, of Tacoma.
One sister, Mrs. Ora Goodrich, of Staples, and three brothers, Howard Card of Staples and Lee and Charles Card of Boise, Idaho, also survive her.
