Mrs. Alexander was born February 18th, 1934 and was a daughter of the late Terry O. and Helen Ruth (Thompson) Lambert.
She graduated valedictorian of her class at Timberville High School; received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bridgewater College in 1955, and did graduate work at James Madison University. She taught English at Mt Clinton High School for one year, then at Turner Ashby High School for eight years.
On November 17, 1962 she married Roscoe V. Alexander, who preceded her in death on May 16th, 2009. She is survived by their daughter, a sister, and a special cousin.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters Janet L. Ward and Ellen L. Shifflett and brothers Lowell T. and Lawrence T. Lambert as well as the family's beloved dog, Winston Churchill.
Private services were conducted by Rev Bernard Fuska of Timberville Church of the Brethren. Burial was in Salem Lutheran Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions are made to Friendship Industries 801 Friendship Drive, Harrisonburg VA 22802.
