"The funeral service for Mrs. Jacob A. Harvey, a beloved Gold Star mother, was conducted from the First M. E. Church, Savannah, at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon, January 19, in charge of Rev. W. M. Tisdale, her pastor. Burial was in the Savannah cemetery beside the body of their World War veteran son.

Priscilla Eisiminger Harvey was born August 28, 1871, and died January 18, 1933, at her home three miles south of Savannah, being 61 years, 4 months and 20 days of age, her family at her side when she went. She was the daughter of Jacob and Mary Baker Eisiminger of Platte county, Mo., and had lived all her life in this section of Missouri. On March 21, 1891, she united in holy matrimony with Jacob A. Harvey and they made their home in Andrew county thereafter.

Into this home came six children, whom with her husband, brothers and sisters are left to share one another's sorrow and her absence. The following are the children: Mrs. Nova Scholtz of St Joseph, Scott Harvey of St Joseph, Lloyd Harvey at home, and Roy Harvey of St Joseph. Aaron Neil Harvey passed away December 26, 1917, with pneumonia while in training at Camp Funston. A daughter died in infancy. Five grandchildren also survive. The following are the brothers and sisters: James L. Eisiminger and Andrew M. Eisiminger of Savannah; W. N. Eisiminger of Portland, Oregon; Charles E. Eisiminger of Savannah; Mrs. Cora Redelfs of Omaha; Mrs. Sadie Moran of Savannah and Mrs. Aldie Rice of Maryville.

She became a Christian as a young woman and united with the Methodist Episcopal Church at Amazonia, later transferring her membership to the First M. E. Church at Savannah on October 3, 1909. Her pastor often visited her during her more recent illness. He talked with her about her soul-welfare and each time she spoke of her faith and trust in Jesus as her personal savior.

Mrs. Harvey had been in failing health for some time and during the past month had grown worse, and she passed to the Great Beyond early Wednesday morning." Savannah Reporter and Andrew County Democra (Savannah, Missouri), January 20, 1933
