Born in Fayette County, Texas on September 26, 1917 to the late Gordon and Myrtle Young, she was the oldest of six brothers and sisters. Preceded in death by Husbands, Walter C. Gillum and Robert L. Brannan, Son, Charles L. Gillum, Great Grandson, Joshua Brant, Brothers, Jack and Cecil Young and Sister, Irene Hopkins, Dorothy is survived by Daughter, Mary Wehmeyer and her husband, Walter of Canyon Lake, TX; Son, Dale Gillum and his wife, Rhonda of San Antonio, TX; Grandsons, Chuck Wehmeyer and his wife, Teri of Bandera, TX, Kenneth Wehmeyer of San Antonio, TX, Darrell Brant of Lufkin, TX, Curt Gillum and Michael Gillum both of San Antonio, TX; Granddaughter, Natalie Camp and her husband, Bill of Castroville, TX; Seven Great Grandchildren; Seven Great Great Grandchildren; Brother, Vernon Young of Flatonia, TX; Sister, Charlene Huebner and her husband, Albert of San Antonio, TX; Daughter in law, Lavonne Brant of Lufkin, TX; Special Nieces and spouses, Carolyn and Dick Wendorf of Boerne, TX, Arlene and Richard Torres of San Antonio, TX; Numerous Nieces and Nephews and many friends. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 2, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Vaughan's Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be on Friday, June 3 at 12:15 P.M. also at Vaughan's Funeral Home, with Dr. David B. Vaughan, Officiating. Burial will follow in Ft.
