Betty Elizabeth Havel Klaumann, daughter of James M. and Agnes Houdek Havel, was born near Cuba, December 30, 1900, and died at her home in Cuba, May 24, 1989, at the age of 88 years, four months and 24 days.
She received her elementary education at Kunkel Rural School near Cuba. She was united in marriage to Lawrence Klaumann on April 22, 1919 at Belleville. They had no children. She lived in the Cuba community her entire life. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Cuba.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1983, one sister, Daisy. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Helen Havard and Mrs. Agnes Adams both of Houston, Tex.
Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church of Cuba, Saturday, May 27, conducted by Rev. Tom Ballard. Interment was in National Bohemian (Kopsa) Cemetery.
