Ball Turret Gunner on the Memphis Belle. A native of Pennsylvania, Scott worked for a rubber company until the outbreak of World War Two, when he enlisted with the Army Air Corps and was assigned as the ball turret gunner on the Memphis Belle. The Memphis Belle and her crew would ultimately become the first to fly all of it's required twenty-five missions in the European theater, twenty-five being the number to be sent back to the United States. Her last mission was flown on May 17, 1943. When the war ended, Scott took a job with the Ford Motor Company, which he held for thirty years.
