Richard Andrew Welch passed away on January 20, 2014 after a brief illness.

Born June 3, 1931 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the son of Richard Garland and Lucille Andrew Welch.

Richard worked for KSL/Bonneville International for many years as an Audio Technician. Many projects included the Sunday Morning Tabernacle Choir broadcast and the yearly pageant at Hill Cumorah. In his later years, he worked and retired from the Utah Housing Authority.

He married Jean Brown and they later divorced.

Survived by his daughters, Linda (Tim) Holt, Lu Ann (Brent) Woodall, Lori (Jay) Burnett, and LaRae (John) Jarboe; nine grandsons; four great-grandsons; five great-granddaughters; and sister, Annette (William) Mansell. Proceeded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Our family would like to thank the Millcreek Hospice staff for the love and tender care they provided to Dad in his final days.

Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive (1495 East), on Friday, January 24, 2014 between 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday, January 25, 2014 between 11:00-11:45 a.m.
