Death came to Tommy Hall Thursday, Nov. 10, about 9 o'clock in the morning at Rollins-Brook hospital in Lampasas. Tommy died as a result of accidental gunshot wounds received the previous Sunday afternoon. Following the accident, he was rushed to the Lampasas hospital, where little hope was held for his recovery. Transfusions and blood plasma were administered in a vain effort to save his life. His condition was considered somewhat improved on Tuesday afternoon...during the night he took a turn...
Thomas Monroe Hall was born on June 27, 1941 in Saba Saba, and had lived here during his eight years of life. Funeral services were held on Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the San Saba Gospel church, with Rev. C. E. Bradford, local pastor, officiating. The church choir had charge of the music and sang several of Tommy's favorite songs.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Lela Hall and the following brothers and sisters: Norma Grace, James Clyde, Charles Raymond, Eugene Warren and Gordon Lyndon and one half-sister, Johnnie Lee Comer, all of whom reside in San Saba.
Flower girls were Mrs. Joe Vogel and Misses Dorothy Annette Aylor, Nelda Ruth Behrens, Wanda Slaughter, Clara Mae Anderson and Betty Slaughter. Pallbearers were Sherman Behrens, Joe Vogel, Fay Duffner and Hal Duffner. Interment was in Wallace Creek cemetery with Howell-Doran funeral directors in arrangements.
