William Henry Burns married Margaret Wright (daughter of James Wright and Rebecca Renfro) on Feb 20, 1871 in Lincoln Co., TN.
They had four children before he died:
1- William "Willie" Edward Burns married Emma E. Pierce on Jan 15, 1908 in Giles Co., TN.
2- James Claude Burns married Lessie L. Rhodes on Oct. 27, 1897 in Marshall Co., TN.
3- Annie Elizabeth "Lizzie" Burns married Elisha Peter "Pete" Adams on Sept. 22, 1896 in Giles Co., TN.
4- Daisey Mae Burns married Alfred Allen Burns on Apr. 02, 1903 in Giles Co., TN.

Margaret Wright Burns' second husband was Charles H. Partin (son of John Hightower Partin and first wife, Nancy Holley). They were married Feb. 13, 1890 in Giles Co., TN and Charles helped rear Margaret's four children by William Henry Burns. Margaret and Charles had no children of their own, but Charles had children from his first marriage.
