Kentucky New Era obit posted 26 Mar 1976 reads as follows:

Services for Lloyd Raymond Allen, 74, Cadiz, will be at 2pm Sunday at Goodwin Funeral Home with the Rev. John C. Brinson officiating and burial in East End Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 10am Saturday.

Mr. Allen died at 4am today at Jennie Stuart Hospital, Hopkinsville. He had been in declining health for a number of years.

A native of Trigg County, he was born Oct. 18, 1901, the son of James Lee and Mary Greenwood Allen. He was a retired engineer of the Cadiz Railroad and a member of the Cadiz United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Letha Faughn Allen; two daughters, Mrs. Albert Futrell, Calvert City, and Mrs. Floyd Cannon, Hopkinsville; one brother, Leslie Allen, Paducah; three sisters, Mrs. Myrtie Faughn, Trigg County, Mrs. Ella Thomas, Henderson, and Mrs. Ruby Freeman, Calvert City; and three grandchildren.
