John W Fries, 79, of Hamilton Township, died suddenly of a heart attack Wednesday night in St Francis Medical Center..


Mr Fries was retired as a machinist at the Frankford Aresnal, where he had worked for 30 years..


He was a member of the Gothic Lodge 270, F&AM: Scottish Rite, Valley of Trenton, Crescent Temple, Mystic Shrine. Born in Elizabeth, he resided in Hamilton most of his life. He was a Navy veteran of World War I..


Surviving are his wife, Mabel Fries, A sister, Mrs Marion Harm of Morrisville, and several Nieces and nephews..


Private funeral services will be held Saturday 1230PM at the Saul Memorial Home. 1740 Greenwood Ave. The Rev Ian Backus, rector of St James Episcopal Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Veterans Section of Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 7-9Pm..
