OBITUARY:
Rachel Elizabeth Campbell, 87, a longtime resident of Buchanan Dam, Texas, passed on Jan. 19, 2014. She was born Dec. 31, 1926, in Mound City, Ill., the daughter of Homer Geroge Isenberger and Mary Elizabeth Curren.
Rachel was a seamstress for many years. She retired from Burnet High School, where she worked as an custodian. She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Homer Campbell, and son Homer Charles Campbell. She is survived by her son Leslie and wife Pat of Buckholts; daughter, Loretta Faye Hughes of Llano; sister, Mary Margaret Hiestand of Buchanan Dam; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and other extended family members.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Jan. 24 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 Texas 29 East in Burnet, (512) 756-2222. A funeral service is 2 p.m. Jan. 25 at funeral home. Interment will follow at Bluffton Cemetery.
