His death is recorded by the Sharon, Vermont town clerk as 31 January, 1834. William is buried with his parents, brother Larkin and sisters Mary Herington, Thankful Lovejoy and Hannah Handy Mosher, as "near Geo. Ladd", which was the Ladd Farm, now the Day District Cemetery.
He was 84 years old.
