Angela Kultgen (nee Mayer) of Port Washington passed away unexpectedly Friday evening, January 17, 2014 at her home. She was 93 years old. Angela was born March 14, 1920, the daughter of William and Margaret Meyer Mayer. On May 11, 1957, she was united in marriage with Alfred Kultgen at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Port Washington. For over 40 years, Angie was a beautician who owned and operated Angie's Beauty Shop in Port Washington. Angie was a loving and caring person, and became the family matriarch. She helped and prayed for everyone in the family, and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Angie is survived by her husband of 56 years, Alfred, sister-in-law Ruth Mayer of Annapolis, MD, nieces, nephews, other relatives, neighbors and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 430 Johnson St., Port Washington. Father Thomas Lijewski will officiate. She will be laid to rest at the parish cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the church on Wednesday from 4-5PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Port Washington.
