GRAMPIAN - James O. Conrad, 71, of Grampian R.D. 1, died Friday, Oct. 30, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born Nov. 19, 1915, in Pike Township, he was the son of the late John and Cora (Powell) Conrad.
He is survived by his wife. the former Lois Veryl Spencer; four daughters, Mrs. Commodore (Enna) Rowles II and Mrs. William (Jean) Hewitt both of Curwensville, Mrs. John (Diane) Bernardo of Brockway and Mrs. John (Deborah) Bloom of Grampian; two sons, James E. of Grampian and Richard of Hopewell Junction, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and four sisters, Mrs. Mary Shope ofJohnstown, Mrs. Lillian Gall of Geneva, Ohio, Mrs. Minie Fetzer of Fallon, Nev., and Mrs Anna Lockett of Madera.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
He was retired from Brown Brothers Trucking and was an Army veteran of WWII.
He was a member of the Teamsters Local No. 110 and the St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Grampian.
He resided in Rushin, Fla., for part of the year.
Services will be held Monday, Nov. 2, at 1 p.m. at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home in Curwensville with the Rev. William F. Norman officiating. Interment will follow in Oakhill Cemetery in Curwensville.
Friends may be received at the funeral home on Sunday, Nov. 1, from 2 p.m. until the hour of services on Monday.
